Product Description

Traveling has never been so simple as with the Garmin nuvi 270 automotive GPS unit. The nuvi 270 is a cost efficient 'Personal Travel Assistant' that allows you to navigate both North America and Europe without loading more maps. The nuvi 270 also offers more mapping options while the nuvi 250 and 200 offer less map coverage at a lower price. As with all nuvi 200-series members, the 270 has an easy-to-use colorful touchscreen and it's sleek, ultra-slim design makes it the perfect companion for everyday navigation.

The nuvi 270 comes with preloaded City Navigator® NT street maps for both North America and Europe, including a hefty points of interest (POIs) database with hotels, restaurants, fuel, ATMs and more so it is ready to go to work for you right out of the box. nuvi will take you to your destination with 2D or 3D maps and turn-by-turn voice directions, all you do is simply touch the colorful screen. Additionally, the nuvi 270 accepts custom points of interest (POIs), such as school zones and safety cameras and will let you set proximity alerts to warn you of upcoming POIs.

The Garmin nuvi 270 is just not for navigation. The nuvi 270 automotive GPS unit comes with many more travel tools including a JPEG picture viewer, currency converter, measurement converter, calculator world travel clock with time zones, and much more. It comes standard equipped with Garmin Lock™, an anti-theft feature, and configurable vehicle icons that let you select car-shaped graphics to show your location on the map. nuvi 270 offers optional plug-in SD cards for our line of Garmin Travel Guides™ and Garmin SaversGuide™ which provide detailed data for attractions and information on nearby merchants offering discounts. Customizing the nuvi 270 for your travel needs has never been easiser.

Please note: Like most USB Mass Storage Devices, the nuvi is not compatible with Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Me.
